I was once called a Yoruba Demon by a certain lady who I liked and wanted to know better , she was quick to judge me without even getting to know me , When I called out a certain Pastor on accountability , she gave me the line of not judging so as not to be judged . Kindly note this lady is for all intents and purposes someone of good character but her unwillingness to discuss the issue of accountability is a sad reflection of the mindset of the average Nigerian.
Daily as you step out in search of your daily bread , you come across young and vibrant men and women evangelising when they are meant to be hustling and you think about the part of the bible which says " There is time for everything under the sun " and also the one which says " Go to the ant ant and learn her ways" . How do you expect me to respect or listen to you when I am going to work and you decide to constitute a nuisance by blaring megaphones in my neighbourhood as early as 6pm in the morning. There is a need to balance your love and service to God with making yourself a better person . God is not man that he would lie , his words are absolute , study those words daily and don't be reading your bible when you are meant to go out and look for your daily bread because the Lord doesn't bless emptiness .
I have been called names recently by people I once respected and taught wise and objective , what this has taught me is , Nigeria is far from reaching the promise land . Religion has made a vast majority mentally lazy . One day Jungle go mature .
